Welcome to Year 1/2

We are really looking forward to getting to know you all and work with you and your families.

In Year 1/2, we have three classes - 2 Year 1 classes and 1 Year 2 class.

We look forward to sharing our work with you through photographs on the website and on Dojo.

Just a few reminders:

  - Lunches are provided for all Year 1/2 children (there is no need to bring a packed lunch)

- Children are to be dropped off at 8.40am at the Windsor Close Gate and the gates will be closed promptly at 8.50am

-Children need to bring their water bottle daily

 Phonics Homework 

PE 

Your child can come to school in their PE kit on Friday  

  • White plain t-shirt
  • Green/black shorts or joggers/tracksuit bottoms
  • Green/black sweatshirt/hoodie/tracksuit top
  • Trainers
  • Earrings need to be taken out on PE days 
  • No coloured tops/tracksuits/football tops allowed

Forest Schools 

Every child in KS1 is having Forest School every week. They will need to have a change of clothes to wear over their PE kit or a waterproof all in one. They will also need a pair of wellies or old trainers.

Autumn/Winter

  • Wellington boots
  • Coat
  • Old Warm clothing (tops, jumpers, trousers)
  • Hat and gloves
  • Waterproof coat/trousers if possible
  • Carrier bag for dirty clothes

Home Reading:

 - The minimum expectation is that your child reads at home 3 times a week (ideally 5).

 - You can record your child's Home Reading on the Learning with Parents App. You can record their reading of the Fantastic 50 Books, the Collins ebooks or any books they are reading from home.
