What are parents and children say about SEN support at Holly Grove

Intent

At Holly Grove Primary Academy we ensure that all children, regardless of background, ethnicity or level of need, are supported to thrive.

It is our intention that children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are supported to achieve their potential through access to quality first  teaching and appropriate provision.

We aim for all our children to leave Holly Grove with the knowledge and skills they need to live fulfilling and independent lives, achieving the goals and aspirations that our children set for themselves, with the support of all those around them.

SEND Intent

Implementation

At Holly Grove, in line with the Code of Practice, all teachers are teachers of SEND with the SENCo there to advise and support staff, pupils and parents. Staff make use of Quality First Teaching, inclusion, appropriate provision, interventions and advice from experts to ensure that all children's needs are catered for a fair and supportive way. Through ongoing training reviewing of policies, learning walks, pupil and parent voice, book looks and termly meetings with the SENCO, staff, teachers and parents we ensure that our children's needs are central to our teaching and learning at Holly Grove.
