This month, our Intergenerational Reading Group welcomed the children from Year 2 for a very special morning of shared stories and conversations with local residents.

The children brought along some of their favourite books to read aloud, and our visitors from the community shared the stories they enjoy too. It was heart-warming to see the children and adults chatting together, discovering new books, and talking about the kinds of stories they love.

The room was filled with smiles, curiosity, and plenty of thoughtful discussion. Both the children and our local guests said how much they enjoyed spending time together, and how lovely it was to connect through a shared love of reading.

We are incredibly proud of our Year 2 pupils for representing the school so beautifully and for bringing such enthusiasm to this month’s session. We look forward to next month’s visit and to continuing to build these special intergenerational friendships.
