Year 1/2 Enjoy a Fantastic Visit to Ash End Farm
Year 1/2 had a truly fantastic outdoor adventure on their recent trip to Ash End Farm, and what a memorable day it was!
From the moment we arrived, the children were full of excitement and curiosity. They loved collecting fresh chicken eggs and were absolutely delighted to meet and gently hold the baby chicks. Feeding the animals was a big highlight, especially the goats and sheep – including their adorable babies – which the children approached with enthusiasm and care.
The fun continued as we met a baby duckling, stroked cows and even had a go at milking a pretend cow, which caused lots of laughter and smiles. The children also enjoyed visiting the guinea pigs and rabbits and taking a walk around the paddock, learning more about life on the farm along the way.
One of the most exciting moments for many was seeing the reptiles, including snakes, which sparked lots of interest and brave reactions! After a busy morning of exploring, everyone enjoyed sitting down together for lunch before finishing the day with a play on the park.
The day was filled with learning, fun and new experiences, and the children represented the school brilliantly with their excellent behaviour and enthusiasm. It was a wonderful opportunity to bring learning to life and create special memories together.
What a super day Year 1/2 had – an experience we are sure they will remember for a long time.
