Road Safety Week 2025
Road Safety Week at Holly Grove
This week, Holly Grove School took part in Road Safety Week, focusing on the importance of staying safe while walking, cycling, and travelling on new roads. Pupils learned key safety rules to help keep themselves and others safe near traffic.
During class discussions and activities, we explored how to:
- Use crossings safely
- Look both ways before stepping onto the road
- Wear bright or reflective clothing to be seen
- Pay attention and avoid distractions, such as using phones near roads
Our Year 3 and Year 4 pupils went a step further by creating their own road safety posters. These posters remind everyone to make sensible choices and stay alert when near traffic. The creativity and important messages in their work were fantastic!
