Our Primitas World Book Day winners enjoyed a truly inspiring visit to Burntwood Library, where they joined fellow winners from across the Primitas Primary Academies—Ridgeway, Highfields, and Henry Chadwick.

The day began with an exciting library scavenger hunt, carefully organised by the Burntwood Library team. Our pupils threw themselves into the challenge with enthusiasm and teamwork, and we are delighted to share that Holly Grove’s team won the competition! What an achievement!

Following the scavenger hunt, the children took part in a special presentation, gifting beautifully prepared book boxes to representatives from:

• Pathway Refuge
• Burntwood Food Bank
• Good Hope and Heartlands Children’s Wards

Each organisation expressed heartfelt gratitude, explaining how the book boxes will bring comfort, joy and escapism to the children and families they support. It was a powerful moment for our pupils, who saw firsthand how their efforts can make a real difference within the community.

Throughout the visit, our winners represented Holly Grove Primary Academy with pride, kindness, and maturity. They returned to school full of excitement after what they described as a “super” and memorable experience.

We are incredibly proud of them—what a wonderful way to celebrate World Book Day!
