We were incredibly proud to take part in our very first inter‑school sports event, and what a fantastic experience it was for everyone involved.

A huge thank you goes to Burntwood Scouts for kindly allowing us to use the Scout Hut as the venue for the event. The space provided a perfect setting and helped make the day such a success.

The event was filled with fun, excitement and a healthy sense of competition, while maintaining a friendly and supportive atmosphere throughout. It was wonderful to see the children competing with enthusiasm, encouraging one another and enjoying the opportunity to represent their school.

Our pupils demonstrated our Torch Values exceptionally well, particularly showing respect for others and excellent sportsmanship. These values were evident in the way children supported their teammates, congratulated others and competed fairly.

For some children, this event was about more than competition. Several pupils showed real bravery by overcoming their fears, challenging themselves and taking part in activities they found daunting. This resilience and determination was a real highlight of the day and something everyone should be very proud of.

Well done to all our Holly Grove Superstars for representing the school so positively. We look forward to many more opportunities like this in the future.
