Holly Grove Primary Academy

Easter Bonnet Parade Brings Joy to Our Community

The final day of term brought colour, creativity and huge smiles as Holly Grove Primary Academy held its much‑loved Easter Bonnet Parade around the local roads. It was a wonderful way to mark the climax of our Easter celebrations, and our children truly shone as they proudly showcased their handcrafted creations.

Families, neighbours and staff lined the route to cheer the children on, turning the parade into a joyful community moment. From tall towers of spring flowers to bouncy bunny ears and glittering eggs, each bonnet was a unique expression of the children’s imagination and hard work.

This special event rounded off a busy and exciting Easter season in school. In the weeks leading up to the parade, our children and families took part in a variety of activities, including:

  • Parent Craft Sessions – where children and their grown‑ups came together to create their Easter bonnets, spending quality time crafting, chatting and sharing ideas.
  • Easter Performances – with each year group taking to the stage to bring songs, stories and uplifting springtime moments to life.
  • Music Celebrations – showcasing the children’s developing confidence, rhythm and creativity through joyful musical performances.

These celebrations are a wonderful reminder of the strong sense of community we share at Holly Grove. We are incredibly proud of our pupils for their enthusiasm, creativity and teamwork—and we’re equally grateful to our families for the support that helps make events like these so special.

As the term comes to a close, we wish all our children and families a happy, restful Easter break. 🌸🐣
